The Big Move

Well, we are gearing up for our big move back to Oklahoma City this week. I am heading there tomorrow to do some things for work and take a load of our life to the new house. My car is completely packed "I Love Lucy" style and it seems like the house is still so full of stuff. Monday A and his dad and a good friend of ours will be piling everything onto a trailer and into the backs of pick-up trucks and making the final journey home.
I have moved many times in my young life and I can remember the good ol' days when I could fit my entire life in my car. But now with our stuff all mixed together it seems like we have enough things to supply a small commune.
I thought I could be cut throat and just get rid of or throw out everything we don't really use regularly but you know, there's that smidgen of a chance that I might need it one day. A and I are both have a touch of hoarder in us and that really makes this whole "just pack up your house and move across the state" thing pretty tricky. I'm really hoping this will be our last move for a while because I am straight exhausted. Do you have any moving experiences that I need to know about?

TOP KNOT SUCCESS

Yep, perfection

You guys, I have some dreadfully short hair and for months now I have been trying different versions of the ponytail which have all failed me miserably. Today is the day. With the help of a few skillfully placed bobby pins I have finally achieved top knot freedom. This has always been my favorite easy-up do hairstyle and I have been longing for the days when I could throw my hair up and still look cute. I know this seems like an uber mundane post but I am so gleefully happy about this achievement that I just had to share. What do you think about the top knot?

Redesign to Pacify

This weekend A and I went up to the city to clean our new house. Some great friends and family came to help out as well including A's mom and dad, my sister, A's two sisters and our good friend Kailyn. Here is my public thank you to them for doing such a damn fine job of helping clean up our new abode. Thank You!!!!!
Getting to spend so much time familiarizing ourselves with this new place has really got my creative juices flowing, but, since A would probably kill me if I drug out my crafting supplies in the midst of all this ::cough cough:: packing, I decided to settle for a little blog redesign instead. Let me know what you think of it.
We are so excited to get back to the city, just one more week and we can call it home again! Everyone have a safe and happy Labor Day!
