Some things have happened

Well folks, we have moved again. It is due to the recent move and our lack of internet up until this point that I have been absent from the blogosphere. I just finished the last of my unpacking (A still has some work to do) and I'm all settled in at our new place. It feels good, we're in the city now and that suits us. I'm just hoping this will be the last move for a while.

During my hiatus we did get something wedding related accomplished. We met up with our wonderful photographer Vanessa and had ourselves an engagement shoot. We had a blast and couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. So, THANK YOU VANESSA!!!

Now I'm going to sit back and enjoy my nice, organized home.

We're Still Here!

Hello all! No, we diddn't run away, we've just been trying to get settled in at our new home (and right now we don't have any internet!!). It's been a really busy month so I'm going to do some major updating right..........now!

The view from one of my favorite rooms in our new home.

Now that we've had time to unpack and see old friends we can finally start relaxing. It is so nice living this close to our family because it meanse we don't have to drive for hours to go see them. When we we're living in Ada it seemed like every single weekend we we're driving home for something and we would have to make a whole weekend of it, soooo exhausting! Now we can actually make multiple sets of plans on the weekends. Mostly though, it gives me a chance to go home and regroup in the evenings which is something I really need. A and I have both started new jobs which is wonderful because now A only works 8-5 and no weekends. I'm getting spoiled!
WEDDING UPDATE!!!!!

We have found the bridesmaid dresses!!!! IT is so darn exciting!! A and I have also started our pre-marriage couseling..........AND I went for my first fitting!! It is really starting to feel real now, it's also starting to stress me out a little, according to my countdown clock we only have 3 months 17 days 2 hours and 50 minutes until our big day!!!!

And now, because anytime I'm gone for a while you should expect a major photo dump. I don't get why people complain about them, a picture is worth a thousand words and I have a bunch!

We went hiking at Overholser Dam with my sister and her girls.

My sister and I took her girls to the circus.

Fall is here!!! And so is sickness :/

Our babies, and my own personal "SOON" meme.

This guy is staying at the barn on our rental property. He has been joined by 3 more horses and a donkey!

The Big Move

Well, we are gearing up for our big move back to Oklahoma City this week. I am heading there tomorrow to do some things for work and take a load of our life to the new house. My car is completely packed "I Love Lucy" style and it seems like the house is still so full of stuff. Monday A and his dad and a good friend of ours will be piling everything onto a trailer and into the backs of pick-up trucks and making the final journey home.
I have moved many times in my young life and I can remember the good ol' days when I could fit my entire life in my car. But now with our stuff all mixed together it seems like we have enough things to supply a small commune.
I thought I could be cut throat and just get rid of or throw out everything we don't really use regularly but you know, there's that smidgen of a chance that I might need it one day. A and I are both have a touch of hoarder in us and that really makes this whole "just pack up your house and move across the state" thing pretty tricky. I'm really hoping this will be our last move for a while because I am straight exhausted. Do you have any moving experiences that I need to know about?

TOP KNOT SUCCESS

Yep, perfection

You guys, I have some dreadfully short hair and for months now I have been trying different versions of the ponytail which have all failed me miserably. Today is the day. With the help of a few skillfully placed bobby pins I have finally achieved top knot freedom. This has always been my favorite easy-up do hairstyle and I have been longing for the days when I could throw my hair up and still look cute. I know this seems like an uber mundane post but I am so gleefully happy about this achievement that I just had to share. What do you think about the top knot?

Redesign to Pacify

This weekend A and I went up to the city to clean our new house. Some great friends and family came to help out as well including A's mom and dad, my sister, A's two sisters and our good friend Kailyn. Here is my public thank you to them for doing such a damn fine job of helping clean up our new abode. Thank You!!!!!
Getting to spend so much time familiarizing ourselves with this new place has really got my creative juices flowing, but, since A would probably kill me if I drug out my crafting supplies in the midst of all this ::cough cough:: packing, I decided to settle for a little blog redesign instead. Let me know what you think of it.
We are so excited to get back to the city, just one more week and we can call it home again! Everyone have a safe and happy Labor Day!

Big News

Our b-e-a-utiful home
We have some seriously big news folks. We. Are. Moving. Home. That's right, ol' Ada's been pretty good to us but it is by no means our home. We recently drove into the city, that's Oklahoma City, to take care of some wedding things and luck and favor happened upon us. We are beyond excited about this, this is something we have wanted for quite sometime. Our family and future is in the city and we are ready to be there already. We have a whole two weeks before I start my new job and have to move into our new place which is pretty overwhelming but definitely the good kind. We will miss you Ada but we miss the city more!

Get Down To Buiness

That's me on the far let, the one with the sumo arms. Prolly gonna need to remedie that before our wedding.
We are super pumped to finally get this show on the road.
Alrighty folks, it's time for me to  start this thing for real! A's baby sister, also Erin, (actually Erin Noel Bailey now) got married this past weekend (yay:D). And they had a fantastic photographer, Vanessa Kim, who I think it's safe to say did an AH-mazing job and I just have to plug her  here. This marks the six month notice we have for our wedding, which is February 2nd guys. It's really starting to freak me out that so much time has passed so quickly. I mean he proposed in December and it seems like that was just a few weeks ago. Needless to say it's time to get down to business and start planning and chronicling everything so get ready!

Oklahoma Weather

So tonight I'm sitting on my couch next to A watching the weather. We are safe and sound here in good ole Ada but both of our families are closer to Oklahoma City and they are getting hit pretty hard with huge hail and possible tornadoes. The news anchor keeps giving reports of people and business' windows smashing and lots of debris damage everywhere.
Meanwhile., A's family is sending us campy pictures of them trucking all of their belongings into the cellar because nothing is really happening there while my family, a mere 5 miles away from them, is huddling in their cellar because water was pouring under their front door. This is a perfect example of the crazy weather we all have to put up with here in the great state of Oklahoma!

Love Notes

I like to leave little love notes for A when I go to bed. They are usually sitting in front of a present for him or taped to the washroom door to remind him to click the hot water heater button. But last night as I was heading to bed I almost stepped on a huge wolf spider, I mean it was bigger than a quarter! I was so freaked out that I didn't even think of taking a picture of it for you. I did run and get a bowl and trap that sucker as quickly as I could though. Then I thought, what the hell am I gonna do with it now? I am not a big fan of spiders so it's not like I'm going to touch it or anything. So I decided to leave a little love note for A and just go to bed.
